UWB measurement in both the time and frequency domain for comparison purpose (November 2014). Because the comparison of the frequency and time domain UWB channel analysis has been (according our best knowledge) published briefly only in one paper, we performed comparative measurements keeping the fixed antenna positions for the both domain. The channel transfer functions were measured using VNA E5071C ENA, while the CIR measurement was done using the high speed (12 Gbps) bit sequence generator built in BER tester MP1800A and Oscilloscope DPO 72004C. This approach brings some advantages compared to M2 (e.g. correlation gain, uniformly distributed power over the time) and will be used for future measurements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div class=\"text\">\n<p>In this measurement campaign, we performed comparative measurements keeping the fixed antenna positions for the both frequency and time domain. The channel transfer functions were measured using vector network analyzer Agilent E5071C while the CIR measurement was based on transmitting of binary sequence using the high speed (12 Gbps) bit sequence generator built in BER tester MP1800A and Oscilloscope DPO72004C. This approach brings some benefits (e.g. correlation gain, uniformly distributed power over the time) compared to the measurements of UWB in-vehicle channel in time domain performed on 21 May 2014. <a href=\"#fig1\">Figure 1<\/a> and <a href=\"#fig2\">Figure 2<\/a> depict the interconnections of the apparatus of the measurement setup working in frequency or time domain, respectively.
