Dirac pulse

Dirac pulse is an infinitely narrow pulse (is non-zero in a single point), and infinitely high pulse (the functional value tends to infinity in this single point). The filtering property of Dirac pulse

abf(x)δ(xx0)dx=f(x0)

is of highest importance. Since Dirac pulse D (x-x0) is non-zero in x0 only, integration produces the functional value of f in x0.
