prof. Ing. Otakar Wilfert, CSc.
Otakar Wilfert was born in 1944. He received the Ing. (M.Sc.) degree in electrical engineering in 1971 and CSc. (Ph.D.) degree in applied physics in 1984, both from the Military Academy in Brno, Czech Republic. Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Radio Electronics, Brno University of Technology. He lectures in the courses ”Quantum Electronics and Laser Techniques” and ”Optoelectronics”. He has investigated problems of free space optical communication under various grant projects from the Ministry of Education of the Czech Republic and the Czech Science Foundation. The main results have been published in prestigious journals and at significant conferences. Areas of his research interest include optical communications and laser radar systems. He is a member of IEEE, SPIE, European Optical Society, Czech and Slovak Photonics Society and the Official Member of Commission D (Electronics and Photonics) of URSI.
doc.Ing. Lucie Hudcová, Ph.D.
Lucie Hudcová was born in 1981. She graduated from the Brno University of Technology in 2006; in 2010 she received a PhD degree in Electronics and Communications at the same university. Currently, she is an associate professor at the Department of Radio Electronics, Brno University of Technology. Her specialization is optoelectronics, optical communications and free-space optics.
Ing. Peter Barcík, Ph.D.
Peter Barcík was born in 1988. He received the Ing. (M.Sc.) degree in electrical engineering in 2012. In 2016 he received a PhD degree in Electronics and Communications and currently is a postdoc at the Department of Radio Electronics, Brno University of Technology. His primary interest is in the area of free-space optical communication with a special emphasis on atmospheric effects.
Ing. Marek Novák
Marek Novák was born in 1991. He received the Ing. (M.Sc.) degree in electrical engineering in 2016 and currently is a PhD student at the Department of Radio Electronics, Brno University of Technology. His main focus is on coding techniques and BER reduction approaches applicable in free-space optical links. Marek is a fan of Linux Kernel, FPGAs and ARM Cortex microprocessors.
Ing. Petr Skryja
Petr Skryja was born in 1994. He received the Ing. (M.Sc.) degree in electrical engineering in 2018 and currently is a PhD student at the Department of Radio Electronics, Brno University of Technology. He examines new methods for cable-less optical links within the acquisition, pointing and tracking. He deals with programming and PCB design.
Ing. Alžbeta Kovaľová
Alžbeta Kovaľová was born in 1997. She received the Ing. (M.Sc.) degree in 2021 in Electronics and Communication Technologies from Brno University of Technology (BUT). She is currently a PhD student at the Department of Radio Electronics at BUT. Her research interests include matrix optics, optical wireless communication, atmospheric turbulence and its impact on free-space optics systems.
